Become a Poll Officer
Becoming a Poll Officer is a great way to serve your community and to learn more about the electoral process. If you are interested in applying to be considered to work at the polls or working during early and advance voting, please submit the Poll Worker Interest Form to TeCorian.Rowland@floydcountyga.org.
(O.C.G.A. § 21-2-92) Poll workers must:
- be Floyd County residents, or reside in a neighboring county at the discretion of both county superintendents;
- be 16 years of age;
- be able to read, write, and speak English;
- NOT be a candidate or a direct family member of a candidate whose name appears on the ballot in the primary or election.
Mandatory training sessions are required for poll officials and held the month prior to each election. Poll officer training materials and videos can be viewed here. Election Day compensation is based on position:
