Floyd County’s government is called a commission-manager form of government. The Board of Commissioners fills the primary policy-making role and oversees the executive functions of the county. The Commissioners select a County Manager to oversee all day to day operations of county departments, administer the budget adopted by the Board, and implement all policies and directives set by the Floyd County Board of Commissioners.
