Jamie A. McCord

Floyd County Manager Jamie McCord brings a wealth of experience and professionalism to the role he's held since 2013. Prior to being named to the post by the Floyd County Commission, McCord spent 5 years with the Georgia Department of Transportation and 15 years heading up Public Works with the City of Rome.  While he's an Alabama native, he's spent most of his life in Floyd County and has a degree in civil engineering from Southern Poly and a master's degree in business administration from Berry College. McCord currently serves on a number of local business development boards. He has been married to his wife Leslie for 28 years and has a daughter, Meg, and son, Matt.
