Please Report Any Suspicious Persons or Activities at Your Airport
Published February 28, 2014 in Announcements
Due to recent non-aviation related and some illegal activities taking place on airport property, we would like to take a moment to remind all of our tenants and visitors to always remain vigilant when visiting the airport. If you see someone acting suspiciously or if you witness any suspicious or illegal activities taking place at the airport, please do not hesitate to contact 911 and our Airport Manager, Mike Mathews, at (706)295-7835.
We have also become aware of unauthorized people entering airport property at all hours. If you invite someone to your hangar, that person is your responsibility and should be accompanied by you at all times. Any and all visitors that are not accompanied by a tenant or a member of airport staff should be directed to the FBO for information and/or entry beyond the gates. Absolutely NO ONE should be driving a vehicle outside of the hangar area unless prior permission has been obtained by airport staff, or the individual is employed by Russell Regional Airport or Floyd County. Again, if you see anyone who looks suspicious or if you see an unauthorized individual driving on airport property, please do not hesitate to contact 911 and our Airport Manager, Mike Mathews, at (706)295-7835.
We have always taken great pride in offering our tenants and visitors a safe and secure aviation environment and it is our goal to continue offering that safe and secure aviation environment. The Floyd County Police Department is dedicated to helping us keep our airport safe and secure; therefore, our airport is monitored by police during and after business hours.
